Shirk is undoubtedly one of the biggest sins in Islam. Allah S.W.T. has clearly mentioned in Quran multiple times that shirk would never be forgiven.
Surely Allah does not forgive that anything should be associated with Him, and forgives what is besides that to whomsoever He pleases; and whoever associates anything with Allah, he devises indeed a great sin.
Quran Surah Nisa 48
Surely Allah does not forgive that anything should be associated with Him, and He forgives what is besides this to whom He pleases; and whoever associates anything with Allah, he indeed strays off into a remote error.
Quran Surah Nisa 116
Hence this has been Prophets’ (Alaihim u Asalam) main mission to strive against it. Majority of the citizens of Pakistan are Muslims yet Shirk is being practiced far and wide across Pakistan. Though no one worship Idols, saints are being given the same status as Idols. Going to Saints’ graves to seek help from them regarding many of the life issues is a common practice among majority of Pakistanis. Hence, it is one of our main strategic objectives to eradicate saint worshipping of Pakistan.
We have been striving to create consensus among different religious factions in Pakistan in this regard so that an alliance could be formed among them to strive against this grave sin.
